Ctek through the tow socket.

Adaptor is available on the forum shop for sale.

I have a connector attached to the main battery and use that. You could also use the jump start connections under the bonnet.

There is a second battery in the side of the boot - where the indent area is you can pull away the side

I still have the ctek connector from my L322 but don't have the tow bar fitted to this car

So what's the best battery to connect to the one under the spare wheel or the one behind the side panel?

I have no idea how they are actually connected, but my assumption is that the smaller one in the side panel is for accessories and the larger one under the spare is the starting battery.

I'm guessing that they are disconnected from each other when the ignition is off.

On that basis, I'd worry more about the one under the spare and charge that one first.

.... but I don't actually know

I don't really know either. But if you disconnect one, does the car still start? If you then reconnect it and disconnect the other one does the car start? That should tell you which one the starter battery is.

Starter battery is the big one.
