strange behaviour fault codes.

Very strange happenings today. I have a 2007 vogue se. Just 2 week ago I had the car serviced and there were 2 pages of fault codes that popped up. They reset the computer and everthing fine until today. I have had 4 seperate faults go bong. One after another, suspension fault /gear fault/adaptive headlights fault/airbag. Does anybody have any ideas what maybe happening. I do suspect it may be something with our lass using the spare key yesterday wich is hardly used. Im now using the main key and all the bongs for faults.

Ps the battery is brand new Sad

The battery was dying. Wouldnt hold a charge. For instance having doors open and it would flatten within 15 mins and also.fbh would drain it.
The steering was reset when batt was changed. Battery was done before christmas. The light for the headlight steering is flashing constantly.

Reason I ask is that the alternators can give up around our model year. I would check the output as the battery could be being effected / pulled down. Just a thought for any easy check to make. Should be getting circa 14.7v from the alt

I have an IID tool if you are near to Rodley / Bramley if you want the codes reading

update.

Bit of an update. So after i reported the probs the next day everything was fine. All warnings disappeard no lights or anything. Today after work went to start up
Bong gearbox fault limited gears
Bong parking brake fault.
I drive home, pull over switch off and restart. Gear fault goes away
Bong parking brake fault then the engine management light comes on and car cuts out in middle of road
Gets home and restarts and all faults are back. And wont sod off.
Checked alt voltage at battery and its at 13.8v on idle. When i rev it it dosent move up or down.
Could this be faulty Big Cry

Very probably, mine put out around that for a few weeks before it finally gave up....

Slightly low voltage will throw up all kinds of faults....

Get Paul to read the ones stored and read the live values from the alternator when running... Pete

Big thanks to paul for coming round and checking fault codes. We found several baffling problems. All the codes are a result of low power. I'm almost certain is the alternator that's giving up the ghost. There are loads of coincidental problems caused by something. Gonna get to bottom of it soon i hope.

The strangeness continues. I suspected the alternator but this morning i checked the voltage and it was 14.7. So took it for a 10 min blast down the local bypass to give batt a good top up. I get back to house turn off car try to restart and the park brake light flashes and i cant start the car. The ignition turns but no lights come on or the steering wheel dosent move. After afew minutes the ignition kicked in to life and it fires up strait away but the dreaded bong for transmision fault comes back. Checked the voltage again and its still producing 14v.

Is there any knid of module i could be checking any where.

This is baffling and the car is now unreliable. Big Cry

all good now

After all the codes and problems. They have all disappeared and i did have a problem with the key not turning the ignition on. After 3 days of trying to work it out its sorted itself out. I have no idea what was wrong i haven't done anything to it but is now acting like there was nothing wrong. I'm well baffled. Laughing Sad
