traffic warnings

Hi

Driving along merrily the other day following the satnav and all of a sudden the kind lady in my dash board warned me of heavy traffic ahead and indeed there was. Never heard this before.

Where is she getting her info from?

Question

Mine seems to have a case of amnesia - fairly frequently forgets which station the TMC (the data service that does the traffic info) is tuned to and defaults to whatever I'm listening too.

Keep an eye on the top right of the SATNAV screen - if there's a TMC logo with a strike through it then it's likely it's listening to a station that doesn't broadcast the TMC info, go into the navigation settings -> TMC to search for them. Classic FM is one of a few (Heart is another I think). Ed
