Acknowledgement from Foreign FFRRs

The last leg of my trip to our place in the Portes de Soleil is the climb up and over the Pas de Morgins. Going around the second hairpin I meet a Swiss FFRR coming down. Gave me a friendly wave and I replied in a similar vein. Funny how on the way down through France, no British FFRR I came across bothered. Was it you Kurt? About 11.00 this morning between Monthey and Morgins?!

With my old Classic, I got (and gave) waves all over the place in the GB. In France it was more hit and miss – sometimes I got a wave, other times I got the impression people thought I was perverted, waving …
Now, with the L322, never a wave back anywhere in France.
A pity – it made me feel like I was part of a fraternity. It's "bĂ©bĂ©choon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 7 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

Terrible, I have the same handicap. My arm goes up in a friendly gesture as soon as I see a FFRR or defender or discovery, but it seems I am the only one also....but who cares?

Robert: afraid I’ve given up waving now. I just hope I don’t not wave should we ever meet on the roads (you never know!) and I completely ignore your wave … Surprised It's "bĂ©bĂ©choon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.

Good thinking! Thumbs Up I've been meaning to get one ... or two. I'll get on to it ... It's "bĂ©bĂ©choon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.

No, I was skiing at Hoch-Y-Brig at that time.

Have never seen a FFRR sticker here, Stan, not even on the british FF's.
I must be the only idiot here in the South west with that sticker.

And @ bebechoon thanks for not waving ... Mr. Green

remember that we here on the forum are a very small percentage of actual FF owners and again only a small percentage here have stickers, so the chances of seeing a members FF with a sticker is very low... ... - .- -.

I nearly always got a wave in my D1 and D2.

Not so many in my D3, and gave up by the time I got my D4 and both FFRRs.

But in my 07 FFRR I did like to give a wave, just to see the response and I remember on one occasion, a chap in a fender, who was so surprised at getting a wave from an FFRR, he near broke his hand, trying to wave back.

Mind you, the only time I ever used my sunroof was to give the drivers of other makes the bird when I had to overtake them. That usually got a GOOD response Twisted Evil 2007 TDV8 Lux

After years and years of waving to other bikers, I finally got rid of the reflex. Mind you, my FFRR is not here and I have only seen 2 here in 1 year. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Bikers still wave at each other in Switzerland. I find it irritating (there are a lot of bikers), but don't want to break the cultural harmony.

No need to wave, just a silly grin suffices and maybe a half nod! Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
