When checking the oil level at a gearbox oil change you have to run through the gears pausing briefly in each.

I have gone into sport mode and then manual mode to select each gear in turn then back into automatic mode and D,N,R,P.

I wonder is it necessary to do so or will DNRP suffice? What do you think/know? John
