Potential reliability issues with the 3.6 TDV8 swung me to buy a supercharged

The TDv8 is the most sensible choice. However, I am not convinced that they will go the distance given how complicated they are. If a turbo or two fail or fuel pumps die, these can cost some money.

I get 17.5 L/P 100k and less than 13 out of town . The funny thing is Australia is waking up to diesels just as Europe who led the whole diesel thing realise it wasn't such a good idea , you get good economy but the particulate pollution is pretty horrendous , as you say they are complicated and expensive hectors so if things go wrong it's going to hurt and if you do mainly short town journeys you kill them .

Had mine coming up for two years now and it's been utterly reliable. Not a single bong aside from the time a door was left open over night. Though the car started first time and charged the battery back fine.

I've had mine for a month or two now and after a number of initial niggles that the dealer eventually sorted, I am enjoying the car a lot.

Blackberrys do not pair very well on bluetooth at all in my experience, no good on automatic pairing, but ok if you manually pair it every time .......bit of a pain .........change your phone, I did The Sony works great! |

Sorry meant to say paid 14500 for mine knowing the above needed doing its an 07 with new interior but came with a years LR warranty and full documentation -- every bill there was even one for detailing - and had had the phone and TV upgraded it was on 84k but had obviously been well looked after thats the key. I have owned a few Landrovers they are all the same skimp on servicing and the bite you HARD good luck |
