If you can store the car, cheaply or for free, why would you sell it! SORN'ed and uninsured, its safe if safely stored, or on drive etc.- in two years its not going to lose a lot of its currrent value, as its not run of the mill typical condition. and even so, its small compared to buying another and fettling that one.

I know what you mean but..... I've got a two car garage with a workshop on the back about the same size, it is set up to work on one car with the doors wide open and still get round it... pottering around in the garage is about all I can do at the moment and if I keep the Merc I won't have room to do any work on the Rangie, I do have plans that I can hopefully do whilst waiting to get sorted so I think it's time for it to go to a new owner.... Sell it, Stick the £4500 in the bank and when the new joints are up to it find yourself a nice biturbo CL 600 to play with at least you know what needs done now, and you know half the fun is getting it to look so good in the first place... It's like Xmas every time it comes back from the workshop....

I've seen the car a couple of times whilst at Petes for something else, and can say it's definately a minter.
