I'm new to Range Rover and would like to know at which point the Kardon Harman hi-fi system was introduced and at which model/year it became upgraded. Is the set up in a 2005 superior (more speakers) than a 2003/4?

Any information would be much appreciated.

I have a2004 hse it has the k/h 11 speaker system only regret is i cannot have any of the chinese satnav systems in due to it having a DSP amp [/b]

Am I correct in thinking that the Vogue has the better amp and that the TV is upgradeable?

As Mark says, you can fit it and if your amp works it's plug and play....

Hmmm, puzzling this HK Logic 7 setup.

I've got the pre-facelift 2005 model touchscreen system, with Harmon Kardon Logic 7 (there's a button labelled 'Logic 7' for it in the touchscreen audio settings menu) and I have Logic 7 written on the speakers just underneath the Harmon Kardon labels.
I've managed to locate 13 speakers so far, as follows:
1 on the dash
3 on each of the front doors
2 on each of the back doors
2 on the rear pillars by the tailgate

Haven't looked yet, but need to find the two bass sub-woofers, which I believe are somewhere in the rear left electronics bay?

It's a TD6 Vogue, MY2005 model, pre-facelift...so was this an optional install or standard?

Hi fi wise, yours is the same as the facelift ;

2005 Facelift
HK system now standard on all models.
Logic 7 now standard on Vogue upwards.
Speakers and amps upgraded compared to equivalent 2002 model year offerings.

The sub will have a larger oval single speaker as oppose to the 2 smaller speakers in the sub on the earlier cars.

The sub is located between the rear boot cubby hole on the left with the nav unit etc in, and the back of the seat, behind the carpeted panel at the side which goes towards the wheel arch. It's not meant to be easy access so you will have to remove some trim if you want to see it.

Couldn't see the speaker(s) in the rear boot cubby, not too worried about checking to see if they're there, especially as on the way into work this morning I decided to press the 'Logic 7' button on the touchscreen to see what it was like compared to the regular settings I had. Forgot that I had the volume turned up a bit and nearly sh t myself when the music came on!

LOUD, CRISP and CLEAR!!! Oh, and did I say LOUD HOLY COW!!! I could feel the door panels thumping along with my chest at the music.

WOW, what a difference the Logic 7 setting makes, now I'll be able to outdo the Corsa Boys with their little boombox motors

Mind you, I'll probably need a hearing aid soon, as well

Subs are fitted in the passenger side of the boot. You cant see them in the cubby access, they are behind the fixed panel infront of the access flap. They should be there  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
