Electric deployable sidesteps

I'm not to sure on these are they easy to fit/ remove ?

no they are not easy to fit there are control modules and programming to deal with !

the steps themselves are easy to fit but the wiring loom, ecu and switch are not so easy.. ... - .- -.

And they are just one more thing to go wrong.

I had to replace a bracket and motor on mine cos they sit under the car getting all the abuse of weather, road, salt, water, mud etc (IMO a poor design) and that cost me nearly £600, just to get the step working again. The irony is that I don't use them or need them! Evil or Very Mad Discovery 4 HSE

Yeah to clarify Ialready have them on when I bought the vehicle and they work fine but I'm not sure on them and wondered if they bolt straight on or would have had to have additional holes etc drilled that would be left if removed ?

the threaded holes are present on all FF's and if you take your steps off you can just leave the bolts in place.. ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan , not with the car so couldn't see how they're fitted, good to know if I take them off there were no other holes drilled to fit them , thanks

^different loom on the 2010my Geoff. Though I think the steps themselves are identical. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
