I will contact them first thing but the car isn't going anywhere. They will have to send a mechanic or recover it.

I can beat that ! 10 years ago I was driving a discovery 2 which had new front pads at the main agent. The front calliper dropped off and fell back into the wheel rim whilst I was driving on the motorway - the bolts that hold it on hadn't been tightened up. Needless to say I went absolutely nuts with them - LR Assust had to recovery it 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

I feel for you Chap. Been there myself many years ago (1985 actually) and since that day I have never let a garage of any description do brakes on any of our family cars. I do them, that way I know they're done right.

Your best option is to bypass the franchise - contact Land Rover directly.

Contacted the garage who couldn't understand what had happened. They then sent a technician, equipped with tools who arrived promptly and removed the wheel.

The whole idea of a licensed, professional mechanic is to ensure that this doesn't happen. Broken components are cheap, even new cars aren't too bad, but when it's safety and lives are at stake, then things get very expensive.
