TRW Brake System

Hi,

Just going to buy a set of rear discs & pads from Advanced Factors.
Not sure what a TRW system is.

My FFRR is a 56 plate 3.6 TDV8

Does the 031OE kit fit

Cheers

Geoff

Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

Geoff,

Reference to the TRW system is to help you select discs and pads that are going to be compatible with the brake caliper set up on your car (e.g on the 4.2 SC the factory fitted brake calipers were Brembo calipers on the front of the car and TRW calipers on the rear of the car).

So, if you were planning on buying, for example, a Brembo brake disc and pad kit from AF, reference to that kit being for the TRW system just means that the Brembo disc and pad kit will be compatible with your original TRW brake caliper set up, if your car is fitted with TRW type calipers.

Hope that makes sense Thumbs Up

^ what he said......

With the added comment, there were a couple of different types of rear caliper fitted to the tdv8, the majority of which are made by trw, some though are made by ate. The calipers and discs are different for the 2 different systems and not interchangeable. Trw are vented discs and afaik the ate system uses solid discs. So its worth checking. Also compare the pic of the caliper type you have on your car on with the web ecp have pics on their site. The calipers look different and you should be able to tell which you have. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
