no. I learned to live with it over time. I keep saying ill do it one day, but after 5 years of owning it, I've got used to it now! |

I'm having this problem too in my 2002 petrol L322 4.4L. I set off for a 25 mile journey and my petrol gauge was on a quarter. When I started for home the needle went up to half. I called in at my Shell garage and put £100 of V-Power in the tank (76 litres). So the tank must have had about 22 litres left when I filled up (about a quarter of a tank). After filling the needle remained on quarter full and the figure displayed for 'Range' on the screen also stayed at 178 miles.

New pump and sender is pretty much the only way. There is a how to in the wiki I think for the earlier cars, basically same as changing the im tank fuel pump.
