Tried setting this up today and I cannot get it to work - it's either broken or my car doesn't have the feature Whistle

You have to store the "up" position of the mirror and the "down" position of the mirror using the seat memory button.
The procedure is exactly the same as setting seat positions or steering column positions.
It's all in the handbook. Thumbs Up

Not sure if it will dip so long as you have the return position in memory.

Seems strange it works on some and not others...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Well it works on mine ok. Laughing
I set mine by using the memory function on the seats as per setting a seat position.

Ok so I set the seats various times and my passenger mirror doesn't seem to move at all with the memory buttons Rolling Eyes When I change the seat position the steering wheel moves, the seat moves, the drivers mirror moves..... but the passenger mirror doesn't Whistle I can only assume this is something to do with why my mirror is not dipping Big Cry Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White

Right this is how I do it and I've just checked and it works ok on my car.

The first thing you need to do is check that the passenger side mirror can actually be adjusted ie does the mirror glass move when you change it's position using the controls on the drivers door panel.
If it does move ok, if it doesn't move the chances are the motors are seized with lack of use.

Assuming the mirror glass moves.

Switch on ignition.

Using door panel controls set mirror to desired upper position.

Press "M" button on seat, switch should illuminate.

Press "M1" button on seat within 7 seconds.

That mirror position is now stored.

Put gear lever into Reverse.

Using door panel controls set mirror to desired lower position.

Press "M" button on seat, switch should illuminate.

Press "M1" button on seat within 7 seconds.

That mirror position is now stored.

That should be it. Thumbs Up

To check the mirror moves down when reverse is selected put car in "P" the mirror should drive to upper position.

Move mirror selector slider switch on driver door panel to Right ie drivers side mirror and select reverse, the passenger door mirror should now dip to lower selected position.

Selecting reverse and park, the passenger mirror should drive up and down according to gear lever position.

Also, if in reverse with the mirror in the lower position, if you move the mirror selector slider switch on the drivers panel
to the left ie passenger side mirror the passenger door mirror should drive up to the upper position.

In addition the Memory positions for the seat, mirrors and steering column should operate when you press the fob to unlock the car for each individual keyfob, provide of course the settings have been stored in the memory for each key.

I hope this works for you. Smile

Nice day for it thank you for your detailed response. I've been out and tried that a few times now and it definitely isn't for working. The mirror is operational with the door pack and the motor seems to be perfectly strong and operates as it should. As do my memory settings otherwise and I have the switch in drivers position Whistle Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
