Lights On Notice and Bong

Hoping someone can help with this really random issue.

I've been using NavCoder to switch on Follow Me Home (FMH) lighting and to ensure the right bulbs are being checked etc, these setting have all taken fine but and I've run into a couple of 'issues' that I'm hoping people here have some experience of.

a) Day Light Running (DRL) at any percentage does not seem to work at all
b) The 'Lights On' warning you'd normally get when you've left your lights on, ignition off and door open seems to have vanished.

Hope someone can help - I can live without DRL but the warning is really useful

I have the same on mine, can't get lights on to show. Just the follow me home lights when I finally turn the lights off.

I too used navcoder previously and set my fogs to the follow me home lights.

No knowledge of the percentage light and drl use, as I didn't try that.

I asked on the iidtool thread if the iidtool can enable it.

I'm also going to double check the cars manual so I can test without the follow me home being activated..... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I have turned off the DRL and the FMH but the lights on message didn't reappear

Did you get a response on the IIDtool thread?

No conclusive response, but it was a bit off topic there to be honest.

Just checked my owners manual and it says you should still get the lights on message and the bong, even if fmh lights come on after. I don't get that either.

So, looks like we have the same issue. I've left my side lights on twice now by accident........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I'm not 100% sure which Lamp Monitoring boxes where checked to start with - I've set it to all of them.
I have returned the DRL and FME settings to how they were before but no joy 2002 Range Rover Vogue

If I could remember how it was Stan, I'd be a happy man.

To be fair, I turned off every light test and warning when I was experimenting with led indicators, so I could have caused the issue myself....... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Can I use the iidtool to set the light control module back to how it was, as I've not plugged the iidtool in since......like reflashing the unit, as oppose to setting it in any menu ?

Not sure it's in a menu in the iidtool........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Is there anyone on here that has the lights on warning and bong working and has access to Navcoder that could check with lamp monitoring boxes are ticked for me?

I know it's a big ask but I've already spent days tinkering to get this warning back

Thanks in advance 2002 Range Rover Vogue

I've fired up navcoder on my laptop and cannot see an option specifically set for what we are after, so I'm not sure any of the check boxes will help us.

I'm wondering if it just gets reset when you do something else.

Must be a way of getting back on though, just need to know what and how to set in the ccf...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

So in NavCoder, on the menu under Code and LCM mine looks like the attached photo.

I'm just wondering what it should be as standard.....or as you said is there a way to completely reset it back to factory?
It's now the only thing that is different - I've removed follow me home and day light running 2002 Range Rover Vogue

Just a quick update on this one for anyone interested - the latest firmware on the IIDTool (BT Version V3.00.00 B1660). Now has the lights on warning and bong option so this fixes that issue.

Yet another great update from the guys at GAP Diagnostics! 2002 Range Rover Vogue

Many thanks.

I read your reply and only now have I updated my IID Tool and been out and turned the Lights On warning and bong back on.

Pity I didn't do it last weekend before I left them on at work on Monday and had to be jump started by a Toyota Yaris.......... the rip taking will stop soon.... I hope Whistle

Thumbs Up to the chaps at GAP (again) 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
