Has been working fine turned it on this evening on way home. When I stopped car noticed it was stuck in 6 o clock position. Turned on car and if returned to normal off position under spoiler. Turn it on again whilst engine running and it sticks again at 6 o clock. I suspect wiper motor is going or gone? Why do these things happen just when my MOT is next week.... Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Good video's on the Powerful website which you may find useful for removing the spoiler and getting access to the motor

When mine was replaced in December it was £229 fitted. That was full retail.

Certainly not part of a UK MOT my friend... Nothing would surprise me when it comes to your driving laws though pal |

Right went at this today. I hate doing a job for the first time but managed to dismantle everything needed. I did break the washer jets off the wiper arm though. There was a lot of gunk built up inside spindles so all cleaned greased and put back together. Unfortunately no go so looks like replacement is only option.will replace wiper arm also.Hopefully that will be the end of issues for at least another while. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

had same recently, replaced motor off ebay and a brand new arm and NRV,job jobbed. It wasnt working for NCT (irish mot) so just dragged arm up to parked position.I noted that they didnt test the wipers so dont think its a requirement but having said that if they thought it was obscuring your view somewhat i'm sure they would make an issue of it |
