Never happened to me in a ff, but I always thought the key blade would have opened the drivers door |

Had to call RAC out with the same thing a few months ago. When he arrived, the damn thing unlocked on the remote as if nothing had happened. Can't help you my friend, but good luck!! |

Hi well it sounds like you may have a few problems here, that started most likely from your battery. As to why the door wont unlock from using the key in the drivers door I suspect that you may have a problem with the mechanical linkage that is connected from the key cylinder to the door latch...This could be a problem if your remote doesnt come back online.

This may sound like a joke......but hold the remote to the side of your head while pressing the button.

Key just turns 90 degrees in either direction no mechanical feel.

It's quite possible you have a flat battery even though there is enough voltage left to operate the alarm led.

It has been mentioned before that everyone should check that their key actually opens the door manually, just for this very scenario. Holding the key to your head really does increase the range, but it does sound like a flat battery in this case. Previously..
