Hi!

Went out and testdrove an 03 RR 4.4 today. The car is really Nice and sorted, and was through the last service a Monthy ago.

Servicebook is full, and the car seems to have been loved. Coolant was changed at service.

Only thing is, There's a little smell of coolant In the engine bay. How to diagnose what is is?

They are quite prone to water leaks and from many different places so, I would ask the selling dealer to have it diagnosed...

possibly a coolant over spill when it was changed.... ... - .- -.

My 2004 had the same problem, turned out to be a hairline crack in the coolant reservior - think its a fairly common problem. Current Fleet:-

The garage had to fit a new radiator to mine before I picked it up.......

As suggested, have it agreed that it's sorted before you buy. I had a snagging list.

If they have an mot done, also get them to do any advisories.......or the equiv where you are ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
