Hi All, I have an annoying vibration at around 30-33 mile an hour, think it's a front driveshaft on the offside, out of balance or CV worn, on my 2007 S/C. Can any body confirm if the driveshafts are all the same throughout the model years? There are a few on the bay at the moment off TDV8's, I would hazard a guess that they are the same up to 2010???

Not triple positive Adam, thought it was the box, but it does it in or out of gear at different rpm, the only constant being the speed, had the wheels balanced, changed a rumbly bearing, checked the diffs seem fine.

No pulling side to side, stops dead straight, no overheating on the calipers, no drag and no tight spots when spinning the wheels by hand with the car jacked up, had the 4 wheel alignment done |

Warning!!! There is a special tool for pushing/pulling the driveshafts through the hubs... 8 out of 10 times a DIY mechanic wont remove tem

Would love to know what this actually is...I have the very same on my '07 SC but at near exactly 20 mph...from about 19/20 to about 23 mph...more pronounced after it's sat for 30 mins or more...but it's a very light "whomp whomp whomp whomp" type of sound/vibration. Almost sounds/feels like a tire with a broken belt does but again only at this speed. Tire rotation does nothing to change the problem.

Craig... I assume the shafts are the same after 2006? No different between the TDV8, 4.2, 4.4 ? It's just I can get my hands on a cheap low miles o/s shaft off a TDV8....hoping it fits the 4.2 S/C |
