Genuinely serious issue. Range Rover's reputation in doubt.

Alpha Pappa Spoiler alert. If you are waiting on seeing the film Alpha Pappa, dont read the below post. I have moved it down to keep it out of accidental sight..........

Post Begins......

This is no laughing matter to anyone who likes Range Rover's and does not think of themselves as an idiot. IT is now official that Alan Partridge's dream car is... A Full Fat Range Rover, Embarassed Big Cry not only that, but without spoiling the plot of Alpha Pappa for those who have not seen it, his dream comes true at the end of the film. The closing shot is of him in his pride and joy...

There is going to have to be meetings about this!!!

PS ... am I now going to have to wear driving gloves and cords?

Remember his Gareth Cheeseman character - that killed the Ford Probe.

Let's hope the same thing doesn't happen to the RR - although even being generous to the Ford Probe it was never a good car. Laughing

OMG as the youngsters say. TBF (continuing the yoof theme) AP's creator is a proper car nut so perhaps its some kind of ironic statement....... Partridge is just like the rest of us, and aspires to quality.

I've met loads of people who have AP tendencies; they all admire the motor and then go on to say they'd love one but couldn't cope with the fuel consumption!

The choice of Royals and Ruffians. Hardly a surprise and look what you get in terms of luxury for humble £££'s.
If LR could get its build quality sorted, it would be on a winner! My new to me ex-demo is still in the garage with "wiring issues" and dissolving dash trims. Big Cry TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!
Other toys in the cupboard.......
