2003 Range Rover SE Td6 Java Black
Groan.... its starting to do my head in .(

Ok had a quick look on here but id be here for ever trying to find the solution Sad( , got a 2003 td6 full fat , problem was it felt like the HDC was kicking in and applying the brakes ( aggressively) but only when pulling away , would do it for a few days then disappear for weeks then come back , nothing coming up on the ID tool ,,changed all the wheel sensors , checked the connections on the abs modulator but nothing there,HDC /air sus / Abs lights coming up,,,HELP .(

Do the lights go out when you turn the steering wheel full lock to full lock but then come back on again later? Previously..

I'd guess its a reluctor ring on one of the driveshafts that's not sending a signal to one of the wheel speed sensors. Car thinks the other 3 wheels are spinning so activates abs. It then realises the readings are not right, so disables abs, dsc, etc

I had the issue on my rear passenger wheel, which is also used for the speedo reading.

I posted a thread on it around the middle of September.

Look for gunge on the connectors in the ABS module. This is the first item on the canbus loop and when it throws a fault it also stops the info flow and triggers the HDC and other sensors. I had this once with all the lights on imaginable and cleaned a small spec of greeny corrosion off one connector in the ABS module and all good (see my gallery for pics)
