Aha get you Noddy, these do corrode though, bubbling under the rubber etc. I wonder if they have come loose, maybe had stuck to the glass a little in the frost and the action of the window going up and down has pulled it off..... Clutching at straws tho really, more likely to have benn pinched. strange tho.

The car is fine. No lever marks or anything. I just hope the trims bent when the thieving gets took them

Thats the very reason they will be nicked !! My sister lost the front screen from her ford fiesta many years ago when the screen was added to the MOT failures list ( marks in drivers area of vision, cracks ). Any make of car that had a non bonded screen was considered fair game.

those strips definitely bubble and rot, i was trying to get some secondhand from dismantelrs, and had to wait a while as all in the yard were bad. i paid £15 each. i thought they were a lot more than £32 new though.
its sad that a felllow FFRR owner needs them that bad. he could just not drive it for a week, to pay for a couple of new ones!

worst thing i had nicked from a car, was the propshaft! i couldnt work it out at first. and garage didnt believe me, at first!

the worst thing that could be 'easily' nicked from the FFRR, could be the catalists. plenty of scum with those pipe slicing molegrips in their boot, flicked over each pipe, hooked on and back and forth, sliently cuts each pipe. and away, to the scrappers, £50 each mate. and about £1000 to replace. ive heard of van drivers having weld on parts fitted to pipes to make them less vulnerable. higher stakes on seconhand market for those trhankfully.

if leaving car in dodgy area, at least lower it! and check the seats are clear!
