My next bulbs to look at changing will be the front indicator bulbs. But finding a good led bulb for this job is proving difficult. I have seen 2 bulbs in particular that seem suitable, but they cost a fair bit. I have posted them below and would welcome feedback especially if anyone has tried them.

As to the need for resistors in rare cases, I think this is a standard statement a lot of sellers make to cover themselves. If indeed these are 30 watt units then I would imagine there is definitely no need to add resistance, in fact I would be more worried that the 30watt bulbs have some other affect on the electrics driving them as these bulbs are drawing 9 watts more power. |

i found this video in an ebay listing and i can see the advantage if these bulbs were fitted to the rear of the range....you should see them better with the brake light on...

you mentioned the 'snappiness' of the smds in a previous post and the video certainly does show the difference..

All progressive and interesting replies. Those pictured rear indicator bulbs certainly look impressive on performance and I can imagine them looking 'just so' if fitted into the clear rear of a SC RR unit.

Ok did a bit of checking and the bulbs that Stan showed a video link to are made up of 12 SMD leds with 1 Q5 CREE forward firing led behind a lens. These cost £35 a pair link below.

interesting that Prop..i certainly think the instant 'full power' brightness of the smd would benefit the rear lights and help indicator light be more visible against the brake light..
