Looks like the Ultimate in the rear except they've done away with iPads and gone back to RSE |

I think JLR is realizing the popularity of iPads is decreasing and other systems (Android) are rapidly taking over MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Bit puzzled by the claim that ipad popularity is declining when they relentlessly continue to outsell any other manufacturer by a massive margin and top the specialised press's lists of the best tablet to buy?

How long now before everyone starts replacing their SWB red rear lights with the LWB white ones? LR is maintaining the L322 ability to make lesser/older models look like the latest/greatest. I can't understand why they do this it can't be a good marketing strategy. No other manufacturer I can think of does it. I guess part manufacturers do well from it though! |

Keeping as many of the components common makes manufacturing cheaper.

The popularity of Android and cheap(er) tablets based on Android is sky-rocketing. The take up rate of Android based tablets is very high especially in developing economies. As for the iPad and its cost, the average FFRR owner won't care less about it, it will mean that app availability for Android is quickly surpassing Apple.

I can't readily think of another car manufacturer where you are able to make a 2002 model look exactly the same as a 2012 by simply changing the lights and front bumper. I certainly don't see people doing this on BMW, Mercs, Audis, Jaguars. Anyway it is not about stopping people making the update, I have no problem with that at all. My point is that it is a poor marketing strategy to enable older cars to look like the latest one so there is less incentive to buy the latest product. |

Why? Lots of people spec it and I would think it has a hefty profit margin. |

Fair point - I should have expressed surprise that people continue to spec it |

B9er, been reading up a lot on the mobile market (due to my current job) and that is my take from it. Samsung is the current Apple of Android. They seem to be leading where Apple is now following and that was quite a bit of the other way around.
