Lock diff or not on 4.4TVD8

When I have my offroad info on speedo screen, I notice the centre diff. When I look at the same time on the navi screen, I see a centre lock and a rear diff lock.
How can I know if I have a rear diff lock or not before I make a foul out of myself at the dealer? 2017 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 silicon silver

If you have the lock symbol on the screen then the locking diff is fitted. It is normally showing an open symbol which changes to a closed lock when the diff lock engages. It is automatic and operates when needed.

Is FFRR different to D3/4 in that respect then?

on the 3.6 the locking rear diff is shown, but it does not really indicate it is fitted, Mine hasnt got one (i know cos i looked) the locking function is carried out in some form by the traction control. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I thought the locking rear was just on the SC?

It was and still is an option i think for most models.

The only real ways to tell are
- from the build sheet
- by looking underneath at the diff and seeing if it has a cable running to it Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Here the pictures where you see the rear diff as lockable on the navi screen and not on the speedo screen.
I will take a look under the car.

maybe the large tv screen shows the status of both all the time and the smaller dash screen only shows the rear diff status when its active.. ... - .- -.

My speedo screen shows both the central and rear diffs and both go in and out of lock in bad conditions.

If it's the same as the D3/4 (and I would assume it is), then the presence of the unlocked padlock symbol on the rear diff is NOT indicative that you have a locking rear diff fitted.

My D3 shows an unlocked padlock on the rear diff and I do not have a locking diff.
