And:

A) TDV8's have plenty of mid range grunt - have you seen the torque stats...
B) AN SC uses MORE fuel than a V8 4.4 FACT...

Ummm.... Not mine. My 4.4 was a thirstier Censored .

But point taken. At that mileage, a TDV8 is a better (more sensible) way to go. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

Those figures sound about right. I'm currently getting 25 mpg from my 3.6 TDV8 and achieving around 30 mpg on a run. This is after a Superchips Bluefin upgrade which makes it pretty damn fast on the mway!

About £6500 trade. Neutral

The TDV8 is now £15995 which is a good price.

No offense Gaz and thanks for the wake up call. So if I try to work this out : I take my 60k VGC 1 owner 4.4 and swap it for a car younger but with double the mileage and pay £10k for the privilege of saving £1,500 a year ....... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Even "we steal any car" put the value of the 4.4 at £6610 and the cheapest ones I could find on Autotrader are selling for £10k. Think I may just be keeping what I have as TBH anything else is just vanity over cold logic.
