Interestingly JE list the same power output for both engines when remapped by them - essentially from what I am told its the same engine just tweaked and re-badged 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

As above but with the lower weight the pre-prod i drove at LRE was rated at the 309bhp and still shifted very nicely indeed! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Very strange, the power outputs and all the details including Power & Torque curves were on their website, I'll have a look I know I have previously posted a link to the page on another thread. From memory the cost was listed at around £800 and there was some debate as to why the cost was around double that for a remap on another LR vehicle.

so if I asked my local dealer for the SDV8 map for my TDV8 - would it be a no, yes but there is a charge, or yes and free of charge? |

Most main agents I think would laugh, as it wasn't offered on the std vehicle so could compromise warranty etc and their dealership status. However,, not mentioning any names I was offered a remap on a brand new vehicle from a LR Main agent! from memory I think the sales person said it was an Autologic power upgrade. I went to JE in the end 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

How did the remap from JE work out. I was considering this option but the 4.4 TDV8 is a powerful unit already and I wondered if the improvement was worth the £800 approx. cost. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Ok sorry I misunderstood when you said you went to JE I thought you meant the FFRR. If you do speak to them will you keep us informed with what they say. It does seem strange the latest info has gone off their website. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

It was an earlier FFRR of mine, I paid £380ish from memory, I went for it as JE had just published figures for their TDV8 3.6 and there was also a journalists review of a JE mapped TDV8 3.6 trouncing a 4.2 Supercharged in the 0-60 dash. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

The 4.4 has plenty poke as it is spending £800 for a re-map just isn't worth it as Vogue says a new set of tyres....no brainer really |
