Thinking of looking at this.

Hello all,
Have had a 4.6 P38 for seven very reliable years (I must be lucky!).
Now in the market for a Full Fat.

May have a look at this one.

Any comments would be more than welcome.

Regards

Steve

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

Looks a nice example, although the 2-tone seats aren't to all tastes.

The boot parcel shelf doesn't appear in the photos, so check it's included or adjust the price accordingly.

At 95,000 miles, the supercharger oil and possibly belt will need changed. Not expensive, but the chances are it hasn't been done at all as LR state they don't need changing. But it's a good preventative maintenance measure to get them done.

Plenty of detailed buyers advice on here if you do a search. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Looks good Smile

Tax will be cheaper as its before the cut off but downsides are the interior isn't the revised one but that just means you dont get aircooled/heated seats mostly Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

The fact that is is still sitting on pirelli scorps is a good sign,

There is a detachable tow bar fitted, could be a good thing if not reularly used. Obviously they tow well but if its been used constantly for towing it will wear the drivetrain quicker. So worth asking what its actually towed.

As said two tone is matter if taste, if you like it then not a problem

Have a good read through the service book, the last two services seem to be stamped up as oil services. Do s/c need inspections? Last service doesnt seem to be a md.

Otherwise it looks like a decent buy. Worth a look. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Many thanks to all who replied.
Have a BIG fly in the ointment, however, the wife has decided that she doesn't like black (although her car is black) and wants a Bonatti grey one.
I like Bonatti grey but not as much as black. May be brave and have a look at it on the weekend.

Will keep posted!

Regards

Steve

Just a quick one on SH. Ref the stamps - my new motor's service book was incorrectly stamped the same by a main dealer. It turned out one of the Oil services was an Insp 2 (the biggie).
I've always found main dealer service depts obliging when asked about the history of a specific vehicle -

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Afternoon all,
Didn't go to see this one as the wife wants a grey one.
When did the revised version with cooled seats come out and what other changes took place as well?

Regards

Steve

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I think it was 56' plate onwards - Electronic Handbrake, Terrain response system. Climatic seats became an option. Revised engine line up, diesels became 3.6 TDV8 instead of TD6 (BMW motor)

Not sure when the normally aspirated 4.4 Petrols moved from BMW to Jaguar motors.
Also at some point the headlights changed from square with wipers to more rectangular with high pressure washers only but I think there were a few cross-over vehicles around. Late 2004 onwards which got the updated touch screen Nav system but not some of the other goodies. Also I believe some of modifications / facelift items were applied to the petrol supercharged models first, then followed up on the diesel with the revised TDV8 motor.

Hope that's all good info, there will be someone on here that will be able to help more, but that's a start for you. Thumbs Up

Tell her "darling I completely understand and agree that you would like the Bonatti Grey one and I feel we should get this one. Lets just go for a test drive" and she will be blown away by the level of comfort and acceleration a SC has and that is the end of it Smile

My wife doesn't like the dark interior on mine due to the privacy glass so she refuses to sit in the back. And I would get a light interior next time as well as I like it better to have a light car. But still I have it and it is great to drive (once I get my bloody issues finally sorted). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
