Pirelli tyres anyone? F1 disaster

How much damage is being done to Pirelli's reputation at the hands of the FIA & their insistence on this years F1 tyres having a short on track life? Evil or Very Mad The reason women's minds are cleaner than a mans mind is that women change their minds more often!
When women say fine a mans in deep doodoo as fine has so many meanings.

They're doing what they've been asked to do,by the looks of the kerbs today they are playing havoc with tyres, best race I've been to here in years though

Mmmmmm... Basically, Pirelli were asked to design tyres that would not last race distance, so they have to pit and change compounds etc. Too many races this year have been about driving to save the tyres, it's all wrong... Anyway, I have a feeling Pirelli will say the drivers were driving off the track and that is not their problem.. If you have ever been on a racetrack and looked at the kerbs, some of them are about 3" high. Technically, you are to stay on the black stuff and never cross the white lines. I know, it's never gonna happen, but dem be da rules... Personally I think Pirelli must be cringing about what this must be doing to their reputation. I also think F1 should be balls out racing and the tyres should last a whole race if need be, but they must change at least once.... Anyway, I'm in the Mancave today with friends drinking an unhealthy amount of beer. Enjoyed the GP, now on to Glastonbury.... Previously..

The rules at present are that you are allowed two wheels off the track but not four.

Therefore the F1 drivers were driving within the rules by corner cutting, which must be faster, otherwise they wouldn't do it Thumbs Up

Statement from Pirelli :

A series of different causes led to the tyre failures at Silverstone:

- We didn’t know the cars would be driving that fast.

- Uneven wear caused by too much turning right.

- The teams repeatedly put new wheels onto the cars too quickly.

- Excessive braking, accelerating and swerving about.

- Extremely sharp leaves on track.

- Failure to proceed to approved Pirelli stockist upon kerbing tyres

- We were asked to make Censored tyres. Stop Censored complaining when the tyres are indeed Censored .

We went through a phase of a certain type of Pirelli on S70/V70 T5s at work.

We called them "widow makers" Shocked
