United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Car won't start/Warning lights poping up

Tonight I went out to take the Range for petrol and the car (a 2003 4.4 V8 Vogue) wouldn't start and said it had an air suspension fault Sad Left it an hour went back out and its now staying its in engine fail safe mode, it won't start, doesn't appear to be turning over and is making a bit of noise from the dashboard for circa 30 seconds..... any ideas? I don't really see how the battery could be flat as it was used two days ago Question Plus as its not turning over I've ruled out the battery.

The air suspension looks to be sitting perfect so I've ruled out any issues with this.

One strange thing though when the car won't turn over the sat nav screen cuts off, which makes me think some form of electrical gremlin

I had the centre console including gear surround etc off two nights ago, could this have caused any issue? As I did disconnect a few wires, any help would be greatly appreciated. Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

Sounds like a flat battery to me.

Did you have the doors open or interior lights on when you had the centre console apart, the interior lights can drain the battery very quickly 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

it wont turn over because one of the ECU's will know there isnt enough juice in the batt so stops it as it wont start so why waste is time trying. far too clever for its own good. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Get it charged up then tested by a reputable auto-electrician and replace it if necessary (with a Bosch S5 110A - c.£110) and keep your fingers crossed it is just the battery! Cheers
