RSE

Having sold my TD6, I'm now looking for an early TDV8. Just contemplating whether to look for one with RSE Confused

Could someone who has it, tell me - Can a different DVD be watched on either screen? Can you watch TV on the move on rear screens?

Thanks Thumbs Up

Only one DVD can be played at any one time, so if both rear passengers want to watch a DVD they have to watch the same one.

Each passenger can select if they want to watch TV or DVD, or via the Aux inputs, so they can watch different feeds or listen to radio/cd/tv/dvd/aux.

The rear screens are not affected by the TV on the move issue, as they are not driving the car! Discovery 4 HSE

I wouldn't bother with RSE again, IMHO I'm just dates the car now. The screens are too small and DVD's are quickly becoming obsolete

My kids never use it - they didn't like it before they had iPads, but now they have those, RSE wouldn't stand a chance.

I'd put the money towards a standalone device of some sort that hey can use anywhere, not just in the car.

My daughter makes good use of the RSE, she has iPad too but likes to watch her Disney movies that she's collected on DVD.
At 6, she can even work the remote which is about the most complicated looking thing in the world!

HAHA! So true, I have sat in mine trying to work things with the remote, didn't stand a chance!

I've had rear passengers watching films on my way back through France but as a driver, it's pointless. I also found the range of the wireless headphones a bit patchy, sometimes you have to lean towards the middle seat, and yes, the batteries were brand new. Discovery 4 HSE

I see where you're coming from (and they both have ipads) but I just like 'factory fit', rather than 'add on's'

My kids love the RSE Thumbs Up

Another thought is that RSE comes on Vogue SE's so you will get extras over the standard Vogue model too Thumbs Up

I don't have children, but I am glad I have the RSE.

It means I can watch a DVD (in the front) when picking up the wife from shopping etc.! Laughing
