Hi all just a quick hello and thank you for your advice.
I am now the proud owner of a my06 ajv8 vogue in java. It needed a little love and a lot of de-chaving (chrome mirror covers, black Kahn 22's and over finch roof spoiler are all in the garage soon destined for eBay) but I'm nearly there.
Just needs a service, possible gearbox oil change as its done 100k just this week and a paint correction that I'm planning to tackle when the weather is a little better.
I previously owned a Rrs and have to say I'm really happy with the full fat. Love it
450 mile round trip to collect the supercharged wheels at the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every mile

Now to fix that heater

Cheers chaps, it's booked in for oil service and to have the only slightly warm heater looked at by Essex 4x4 next Friday. Nearly froze trying to sort it out yesterday.
Seems to ride a bit high too. Almost like off road height but offload still works so it could be that I'm just comparing it to the rrs

Unfortunately I have chrome mirror covers on my 57 FFRR Vogue SE and hate them.
I am a bit nervous about prising them off, expecting to leave loads of glue residue and perhaps find the reason they were fitted was because of damage to the mirrors.
What did you find after you removed your mirrors ?

I had exactly the same fear but just gave them a good pull and they came right off. Nothing left under them at all as they were just held on by 3m tape. The drivers side one basically fell off on its own.
Do really fancy some body coloured covers from lrparts.net now though

If you are left with residue, say like if you remove a badge etc. a hair dryer and a bit of wd40 and elbow grease dissolves the adhesive. It's worked for me I the past
