Main Beam LED's

I'm sure I;ve read this already but can;t find it in a search.

I replaced my Main Beam bulbs with LED's some time ago but get an intermittent "Check mani beam" warning bing and message.

Has anyone replaced main bean with LED's and could they point me in th edirection of a set that will actually work please. Mine do work and are bright but don't want the error. I also get virtually non existent light when the lights are on and I use the "Flash" function.. so I think it;s time to change them. Ash

you get an error cos the led bulb resistence is to low..you need to wire in a resister or another halogen bulb or get some h8 canbus error free leds.. ... - .- -.

You'd think that, but if you take a look at Audis with LED headlights they do a good job of dazzling the Censored out of everyone

My xenons on my old TD6 were far superior to my LEDS on my v8, brighter, better range and without the dead spot in the middle.

Just saying! Thumbs Up

Hang on - Loads of folks have changed them over - It's only the Main (full beam) bulbs I'm talking about (I think).

Unless I'm mistaken, I still have the xenons and these are the inner ones (towards the centre of the car).

Now Im confused then.??

you have bi-xenons which supply dip and main, the inner halogen mains are for show and 'flashing'...when i say for show i mean they only get 10volts and are useless against the xenon main...hope that makes sense.. ... - .- -.

It does - Thanks Stan..

So when my display bongs "Check main beam" it suggests an issue with the bi-xenon then... Even though they both work fine.

and I guess I will just live with the non existent flash as well Ash

check main beam 'could' be a problem with the bi-xenon but most likely the leds in the inner mains..

you will get flashing with the leds in the inner mains.. ... - .- -.
