Very true, Simes.

Andy, sorry for high-jacking the thread.

NP! Smile

My 2p worth on additives: for a newish gearbox I would stick with factory fluids (or at least factor spec). However on an old box the intention probably is to mask the sympoms of the "desease" of age and fair wear and tear! So additives can be a reasonable option in that case.

Meanwhile, on my issue...
I'll check the linkages, but as the box sems to engage correctly I'd guess the problem is internal and hopefully adjustable. It doesn't just drift gently in the wrong doirection, even with a small amount of throttle it rockets off in the wrong direction totally at the mercy of gravity! H/brake and a few revs is OK though.

Hi Andy, that doesn't seem right to me. Maybe RRPhil can illuminate us on the potential causes ?? After all, he is our resident ZF expert. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
