installing Bluetooth, need help

guy's, I've been installing Bluetooth in my td62003, car is pre-wired and I bought a gen3 module.
got a new 54pin plug at Audi and rewired everything due to the pdf flying around here on the forum.
Telephone shows up at the Nav. screen but asked for activation, So i dove in to this forum again and found out I had to ground pin 32 to pin 36. Did that, and....... nothing changed.... there is a Bluetooth Nokia module installed by a previous owner, so i was searching if they disconnected something, but didn't find anything...
what I did find was that the antenna from the module goes .....nowhere... Am I missing a part? like a Bluetooth antenna or something? thanks

As PM.....

Hi mate,

Can't help much tonight as I'm out again in a min........

If its saying you need to activate phone, you will need to put the ULF into pairing mode by following the pairing procedure........

To get the ULF in pairing mode, with ignition off, short the wires together for at least 1 second before turning ignition on, and continue to short them for 2 to 3 seconds after ignition switch on. Whilst ignition still on, seperate the wires. All 3 LED's should be lit on the screen display in the car and some instructions will appear on the car screen. Do a bluetooth search with your phone, and pair up entering the ulf passcode when required.

You should have bought a bluetooth antenna as well as the audi plug and your ULF. Your car should already have the cable in.

Not sure of BMW part number........

see how you go....... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Something like this ;

You should already have 2 bolts sticking up from the black frame above your sat nav unit in the boot........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

When you ground pin 32 to 36, you are leaving pin 36 still connected to the ULF ?

......as its the ground for the ULF unit. I used a choccy block, and just touched the wire from pin 32 into it as required.

Just a thought.

I'm keeping 32 and 36 both in the ULF, didn't try to activate it since I have to wait for the aerial to arrive, so I can do it all at once.
Or do I have to take 32 out while grounding it to 36? And put it back after?

Pin 32 only goes to the ulf, so leave connected. The other end I put a choccy block on so it doesn't touch stuff when it's not being shorted for pairing.

To clarify what I said in my pm and first reply above, currently your ulf is trying to connect to the mobile phone of its last owner. So you need to pair yours using the pairing procedure. This will only have to be done once. Afterwards when you see the activate phone message, you'll just have to do just that - turn on your phone or activate its bluetooth.

My car displays that message when I leave my mobile in the house........and try and make a call from the car when I'm miles away! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Ok, ulf is working and pairing with my phone, only thing left to do is installing the mic. I do see the plug but that doesn't mean i can reach it... so I will have to tear down some stuff... I'll report back in a couple off hours...

The black cover should just pop out from your car, so you can just connect the mic up and clip it back in.........

Hopefully thats all the removal you'll have to do.

Sounds good so far.

Of to the next project, witch will be sending the bm54 off to Baris..
