United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black
joined Defender2.net

Posted in the 'Introduce yourself here' thread and not a single person has even acknowledged my arrival.

I fear mention of me having a Range Rover may have made me a social pariah as far as the Defender crowd are concerned, probably just think I am some sort of toff who wants a 'Jeep type thing' to play with at weekends. Confused

Not like the welcome we give people here. We really ARE a nice bunch on this forum, we're the least snobby of them all I reckon!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tonga Green

I do find "Land Rover" owners snub "Range Rover" owners. When in reality they all roll out of the same factory and all have the green oval. If anything it should be the other way round.

I've found Disco owners are the worst for LR snobbery though.

I wouldn't get too hung up about it, you've had a good response to your ex-MOD question!

I don't think you'll find there is the usual level of snobbery around on my sites Wink

Half the problem is self-stereotyping, and fearing that you won't be welcomed. Laughing

We sponsor all 5 of the forum's and contribute to a greater or lesser degree on all of them, and it is quite interesting how each forum has a different feel to it (all very positive, but all slightly different).

I went on there to say hello to you, but a few other people had joined sice, therefore it would have been out of sync, so............. "welcome to defender2.net"!

James Thumbs Up

Yes, it's CT17, from the 1997 Mongolia event.

Still with original KAC reg that I dare not cover up with a private plate, as it's all part of the car's history.

I thought the same, but I just tell people it gets really good radio reception. Wink

I bought it in November 2009. It had a complete (and expensive) refurb in 2008 by the previous owner.

When I saw it for sale I got up there quick! Very Happy
I'd wanted a Camel Defender for quite some time.
