Hi,
I have just been sideswiped by a bus, and lost both backing pieces on my near side wing mirror. Apparently if the lower one is lost or broken a whole new mirror is needed. Is that correct? It seems drastic to me that the lower part is not as readily available as the top one.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Unfortunately thats right as i have found

The only other option if the motor bits are ok is full size cover chrome ones getting painted up

PS if you get it repaired thru their insurance it wont affect your NCB even if you tell your insurer you had the accident as long as you dont claim thru your insurance

If you can retain the bits i could be interested in them for a few ££ as spares for mine when offroading  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
