Yes thats the one, lower fixing lug is missing, someone has botched up a repair with Sticky stuff, but the casting is now leaking

It's only 3 holts per side. Quite straight forward but space and access is the issue. If you removed the cabin filter and the PCV valve off the back of the inlet plenum then you would prob have better access. Then you would need to refill the coolant system. Not a hard job just a fidley ball ache of a job. Might be easier for an Indy who's done it a few times. How many miles? Could be worth doing the water pump while your at it. Other side of engine but if your disturbing the front to back pipes would make it easier as you wouldn't have to worry about the seals. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Thanks for the advice Rob, I will get it booked in tomorrow, looks very fiddly to me, got as far as covers off and located the leak, but then put it back together
It's done 66000 miles allegedly

Not sure if you would want to but V8's are prone to water pump failure. There only £45-70 so not hugely expensive so could be worth looking into to save it happening at the side of the road. I've stripped the top of the engine down to get to the valey pan and put a load of photos on here somewhere.
