South Africa 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue
4.4 v8 2004 vs sc v8 2007 suspension

is the suspension on the sc as soft s that on the 2004 v8?

driving the ffrr and then the d3 v8 feels like chalk and cheese - a lot more body roll on the ffrr than on the d3, which feels a lot more planted

now wondering whether a change to a 2007 and later sc will drive better ito road holding especially when pushing on

My brother has the 4.4 V8 and i drive a 2006MY SC.... The SC feels very assured when pushed hard so i would not hesitate in going for the 2007 you mention.. Thumbs Up

I think the suspension was uprated on all 2007 cars.

Stolen from RangeRovers.net -

Chassis & Suspension

The HSE’s suspension calibrations (spring and damper rates) were "upgraded" to match those on the Supercharged model, giving a somewhat harder more sporty ride, with vertical wheel travel reduced to 7.6 inches/194 mm at the front (down from 10.75 inches) and 11.5 inches/292 mm at the rear (down from 13 inches). On the other hand, the recalibrated suspension settings evidently gave an increased ramp breakover angle in off road mode of 30 degrees (instead of 28 degrees on the 2003-2005 models). Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
2007 Porsche 997 C2S Coupe
2007 FFRR 4.2 S/C
2012 Jag XKR 5.0 S/C
2014 Merc SL500 AMG 4.7 V8 BiTurbo (remapped to 560BHP)
2011 FFRR 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - Overfinch Conversion
2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2018 AMG C63S Estate
2015 Mercedes GLE63S
2017 Maserati Levante Diesel
2017 Audi A6 Avant 3.0 Black Edition
