Sorry iPhone Help

I have searched and searched but to no real solution.

I have a 54plate pre face lift.

It has touch screen satnav.

I have an iPhone.

It pairs up without fail but it drops calls. Has never yet held a call.
It will not download phone book.

But I tried two other phones a Blackberry and a Nokia N60 dropped calls here too.

Please please any help???

I really don't want a parrot fitted on that lovely dash. 15MY SDV8 Vogue SE

Thanks Mick been through that as best as I can.

Will do the unplug Bluetooth module.
My dealer knows nothing of an upgrade, both sales and service suggest I get new phone.

Have googled but there doesn't seem to be a hard and fast cure. 15MY SDV8 Vogue SE

iPhone 3GS

Sorry for the slight hijacking of this thread, but the interruption will only be temporary!

Has anyone managed to get a 3GS iPhone to work via Bluetooth? The Land Rover website says it's not compatible, but I find this hard to believe! Is this really the case or is the website slightly out of date?

Many thanks all!

It's not a hijack it's the basis of my post/question.

My dealer says there's no problem with the iPhone. 15MY SDV8 Vogue SE

Hey all, more of my inane drivel again...

I have an 06MY S/C and had terrible trouble with my iPhone 3GS and also my works BB Bold 9000.

Long story short I ended up with some credit in the LR 'good will bank' and they offered to perform a S/W upgrade for me FOC... I think from memory the Technical Bulletin is LTB00095.

Essentially this should fix some drop out issues and also enable the Phone book over Bluetooth feature.

They had my car and tried the upgrade- nada, nothing, zip, zilch...

Just as I had it booked in as the dealer said it can take several attempts to complete the SW upgrade (I appreciate it's difficult to eat a bucket of fish, balance a beach ball on your nose AND perform a basic software upgrade simultaneously) an extremely generous pillar of the forum community helped me out MASSIVELY- Danke Shoen Das Doc!

We swapped BT Modules with a newer revision (again from memory as I'm ir Dublin at the moment... XVJ500420 new swapped for XVJ500045 old)

All of the bugs disappeared and bow I have phone book over Bluetooth.

I also read somewhere that if they try the SW upgrade and it won't work then the module shouldbe replaced under warranty (if you still have one) as the inability to accept SW upgrades more or less guarantees the module is wonky and fit for the bin.

Maybe it's worth, depending on warranty covers etc arguing the toss over trying to get the module upgraded?

Certainly a phone call can't hurt.

Good luck! Thumbs Up

Spoke to the dealer about this as I pick up my 07SC on Saturday.

they said to me that the s/w upgrade is chargeable!!! I'm waiting for them to come back and confirm a price but that's not on surely?

Anyone paid for this and if so, how much?

Parrot install it is then.
My local dealer thought I was talking Dutch so went further afield and no promise of the upgrade working.

Nice parrot install cheaper too! 15MY SDV8 Vogue SE

I have an iPhone 3GS working with a 58 plate Disco 3 and MY10 FFRR - no probs with connection and holds calls Thumbs Up Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Plus one mint condition Track Day Car in the form of an E36 M3 3.2L Evolution circa June 1996 with lots of go faster bits and only 52k miles on the clock! Oh, plus a few bits to make it slow down really quickly as well! Luvverly.

The LBT... service code is chargeable to the customer. When I had mine fitted I saw the service sheet and it clearly stated that the customer should be charged for it.

But, for what we've seen here in the forum the LBT will never work, so in the end a new module must be fit.
and that warranty job....

Smoooooooth talks to the dealer is what you need.... Whistle Whistle
