hello after collecting my car after a 2012 conversion the rear camera does not switch on when reverse activated

not even getting the black screen up simply not switching on

any ideas

not sure which fuse it is any help

Why not take it back to whoever did the conversion

contact your converter or look on rave for the relevant fuse...the link for rave is on our wiki page.. ... - .- -.

You didn't have anything else done at the same time as the conversion did you...like TV in motion? On some of those wiring looms there are some dip switches that can stop the reverse camera working. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

its like its not getting the signal from the reverse gear

thinking of having this done or the 2006 upgrade and i would only use DCC 4x4 if i was.

I just managed to turn of my 2008 MY rear camera by editing the CCF file for the instrument bin and turning on a couple of things that I thought were harmless like low battery warning.

(I did not) - The best thing would have been to save all the CCF config files for the BECU, Instruments and ENGINE and radio to make sure you know what you started with.

There are settings in the CCF for instruments where if you select the Rear Parking Sensor Display option, it turns off the camera. 2008 HSE B. Grey

I think your only real way to resolve this is to go back to the people who did the conversion. I'd be VERY surprised if anybody else would be willing to take on faultfinding someone elses work, especially looking for an obscure electrical problem that probably won't be documented in any official manuals.

What was their reaction to you asking the original convertors for help? Did you ask them if there was anything they may have done that could have caused this problem? Other than changing the rear lights. I can't see anything electrical work at the back that they would have done to cause this.

Let's get a bit of background to try and help you :-

1. Was the camera working 100% before the conversion?
2. have you checked the relevant fuses?
3. Have you checked the connections to the camera?
4. Might be a daft question, but are the reverse lights coming on when you select reverse? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

if 4 days at a dealer cant figure it out, how do you expect us to 'remotely' sort it except give you some suggestions to which you havnt really replied back to......

was working fine before conversion

rear lights coming on but not switching camera screen on

converter says his auto electrician has not touched this circuit they do 2 a week and have not had this before

also when dvd cartridge is inserted it comes up with wrong video what the hell does that mean ??

i was hoping someone had the wiring diagram which i could check through

Did they change/remove the rear spoiler?
