Scotland 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Tonga Green

Am I the only person on here who is embarrassed by this thread?
I love my car but don't look down on other people because of where they live, what they drive or how they speak. Or even how they drive. Sorry guys but even if said tongue in cheek this all lacks a little class in my opinion.
Lets keep the forum for what its for?

Minor peeve over and feel free to flame me, I am big enough to take it.

I don't look down on people coz i drive a FF i only put my post in because some wee nyaff could have seriously caused me to crash when we were both approaching a bend which merges into one lane and he thought with having his "bird " in the car that he would show off ...

And I thought this was a somewhat tongue in cheek thread, so replied in the same vein.

I don't look down on people in reality or treat them with disrespect.

But I do have a problem with bad language and feel that people resorting to expletives at every breath is very poor indeed. Si. <This is my name.

Thanks Tom, you're absolutely right.

Having said that, I haven't read anything on this thread that didn't come across as tongue in cheek humour.

...But as a plebby non-RR-driving type, I have to believe that. Crying or Very sad Researching my first Range Rover purchase

Fairly obviously a complete tongue in cheek thread from my perspective. I don't look down on chavs, in fact I don't look at them at all if I can help it. Can't stand the sight of fake Burberry and 9ct gold plate. Innit. !!!
Thumbs Up

Well I certainly didn't intend it to become a "we're better than you". It was a tongue-in-cheek thread based on the fact that someone gave me a tirade of abuse for trying to change lanes and instead of completely ignoring her I was embarrassed that I rose to the insults. I just thought the one-in-a-lifetime timing of the green light and probably the only witty response I've ever managed was worth sharing.

The title of the thread starts "An Apology...." nuff said for me.

More often than not, I find that what car you drive, changes how others react on the road.

My cousin had a Ferrari 575M, and kids point and wave, and get dead excited when you give them the thumbs up in return.

I've had a couple of pretty rare M5's and car enthusiasts show you great respect, everyone else couldn't care less.

Admittedly, I did find my RR Classic was classless, in that you never knew what type of person could be driving it, but the L322 is a bit more upmarked now, and is perceived as such.

Hence I'm expected to drive it in a stately manner, like you wouldn't expect to see a Police Traffic car driven badly.

People let me out of side streets, and thank me when I let them come through a narrow gap first.

That said, get it wrong, make a mistake, and its "look at that Censored in that Range Rover..........."

Suppose I have no choice but to look down on other road users, as I'm generally higher up. It's psychological.
