So I dropped the rr off this morning for my friendly specialist to turn it all on for me but he couldn't. He tried auto logic and that said it was all enabled but nothing showed on the screen. He then tried his t4 and it came up with an ecu mismatch on the immobiliser ecu and went to the next screen to say it was a prototype vehicle and cannot be configured!

Hang on for a bit Ashley - and Steven (what happened to the TD6, BTW?).

We use T4 and have had 3 cars in over the past 3 months with " it was a prototype vehicle and cannot be configured!" message...

Cool - Thank you Steve... The Autologic can read it all and set it but it doesn't take and the T4 just comes up with the error.

You can't turn it on with autologic or T4.

I am certain that you should be able to activate it using IDS, and my dealer agrees - it even says so in the "kit" instructions, and there is an option in IDS.
Got paranoid about the gearbox, plus a few other niggles, and so made the mistake of driving a TDV8 - after that I just could not go back! |

It is present in the OEM systems. I spoke to both dealers and Webasto last year. Webasto makes a 'Park Heat retrofit kit' but requires the customer to go to the dealer to have the ECU unlocked. I don't believe it will have anything to do with the valve - it is not necessary on BMWs - same system. Operator error or another error?
Actually, if we ever do meet up you'll have to drive my TD6. Chipped. I was disappointed the first time I drove a TDV8. I expected more. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but - Craig - Did you ever get any feedback from LR re the prototype issue (supposedly a remnant of Snap-On)..?
