34 continuous years and counting for me, my 4 door 1990 Classic and 2004 322 owned the longest time at about 9 1/2 years each, the shortest time was my P38 4.6 Vogue (3 1/2 yrs), though it had the most comfortable seats of them all. Looking at availability, spec and prices of the L460, keeping my 405 is not such a hardship. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

Alas I only got my first Classic on 19.12.88 so not 35 years yet. Thinking about this showed me that the RR I had the shortest time was actually my first Classic, at under 1 1/2 years, but it did have 97,000 miles on it when I got it. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

Bought my late 2005 (MY06) facelift 4.4AJ V8 nearly 8 years ago as an urgent interim replacement for my 2008 TDV8 which had been t-boned by an uninsured, unlicensed driver. Intending to buy a new one once the insurance was sorted but I found I enjoyed its smooth sweet Jag engine and simplicity more than my original car and decided against upgrading until it died a natural death. Still going strong and still keeps me smiling. |
