My old Audi coupe Quattro - what a car that was, just couldn’t really afford to maintain it at the time |

I read this post and you have me wondering now, as I have been thinking of selling my F10 M5 too. I have had it just over 5 years and with having my L322, I can't justify buying something else unless a car goes. But the fear is that the M5 will be irreplaceable. I have owned it from 13k miles. Just 50k on it now. Market on them is funny as prices online seem to be £20-28k. The one I did part with that I regret has to be my Prodrive STi Impreza 2007. Car handled like it was on rails. |

I sold a nice E28 528i I bought for £800 for about £600 when it needed too much welding for the MoT. It had mint blue leather //M sport seats which are probably worth a couple of grand alone now. I had no money at the time to keep it going, it was just another old banger I ran on a shoestring. Would be a proper classic BMW now. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue |

I've been lucky to have had some nice cars so far but by far my favourite was my 2001 E39 530d Sport in Topaz Blue.

The thing is if you keep them you have to have space. I have a bad habit of not selling mine and now I have several projects all in various states of repair and a shed that is getting smaller and smaller because of it.

I really miss this truck! Sold to a member on the disco 3 site, still going as far as i know roaming around Scotland, great car, wanted for nothing, drove wonderfully, disco 3 forum was a god send and “Flack” so many brilliant memories with family / friends, cavernous compared to my RR………so capable off road, then happy to cruise on a motorway…..great fun!

7 years after LR stopped building the D4, I still can’t get my head around the fact they replaced it with the D5.
