Agree with MPx, the rear cam installed at the bottom of the glass has the advantage of not seeing it through the rear view mirror.
I have had mine installed for a month now and to be honest don’t really see it anymore.

One question I would ask when I use the app I do not get anything on the iPhone from “live view” do you get anything? Mine just continues to load

If you mean me...then yes as per my earlier posts in this thread, live view works perfectly for me on my iPhone 6s. I guess iLard will update you if he has one fitted... Mike - MPx

Yes exactly that. Obviously you need to be attached with the small circle in the header green and not red.

I did just get a notification of an app update when I took the screenshot to post above. So probably worth checking that you've got the latest version - you never know they may have fixed something! Mike - MPx

Very good, easy to use dashcams. Not really noticeable in the back window, although mine is mounted at the top which is the standard set up when installed in my new car.

If I was doing it again I think I might see if it can be installed at the bottom. All LR cars from 1984

Attached a screenshot from my iPhone of the live view, Just continually tries to load, I can take a photo and I can record, but I cannot live view.
I cannot scroll between the front and rear cameras.
As far as I know it is the latest software update.

Obviously a disappointment, although something I never use in practice so would be of no loss to me. Should of course work like this

Suggest you borrow another phone and try it on that just to eliminate any potential phone issue then return it to LR for replacement of the faulty unit if no joy at that stage. FWIW my device prompted me to do a firmware update of the Dashcam when I went out to get this pic. Reported as successfully completed, but no info about what it was trying to achieve. Mike - MPx

I have tried on two iPhones, I also borrowed another front dash cam from the dealer and the same result.
I agree it’s not something I would use more annoying than anything else.
I have ordered the new L460 So will just wait and see what happens when I install the Dashcam’s in the L460

Had mine fitted, £693 all in if you please. Seems like a neat enough job. The rear camera is at the top nearside, I did not request it at the bottom because I decided I prefer it up there.

The app for iPhone is shoddy but works. One issue, however, is when I download a video to my phone I can view it in the app, both front and rear, but if I navigate to the folder on my phone and open the mp4 file only the front facing shows. I can view the videos without being connected to the dash cam so my phone has the rear view somewhere, but I cannot figure out where. Perhaps it is somehow encoded in the mp4 and only visible using the app's built-in decoder. It makes me wonder how I would ever send the rear view to, for example, my insurance company.

Anyone solved the rear view file sharing issue, please? L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

I had the Landrover cameras front/ rear fitted for a month plus, I can review front and rear footage either sitting in the car or download and view later on the iPhone.

I had an issue with live view on the app, would not work just continued to load, by accident I tried a phone with no SIM card and the live view worked, turned the phone with the SIM on aeroplane mode and the live view worked.

The Landrover Dashcam seems temperamental for the cost.

Yes, I can also download them and view them on the phone. What I cannot do is see the rear view recording files on my iPhone in Files > On My Phone > Dashcam folder where they get written when you download.

All good in the download section of the app:

Files > On My Phone > Dashcam - only shows front facing videos (checked and played them, only front is there.

Is anyone able to view their rear cam downloads or share their rear cam videos in email, WhatsApp or whatever? L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Australia 2019 Range Rover HSE 3.0 SC V6 Carpathian Grey

My wife and I have just bought new Land Rovers, an Evoque Autobiography and a Defender 300D X-Dynamic HSE. We cannot connect to either Land Rover fitted dashcam. We have managed to connect to the car apps, so we can start the cars to warm them up before we get in them.
We tried to connect to the dashcams in the dealers, we have tried at home, at work, out and about. They just will not connect.
We have spoken to the dealers and still have no luck.
Close to telling them to take them out and give us our money back.
I have gone through the phones (both iPhones 11+12), to check if we have something in the settings that is stopping us connecting.
Both dashcams have the same Wi-FI address! Should they have different ID's, every appliance in the house has it's own individual address.
Any advice welcome.

The dealer should have given you specific logon details for each car including the Passwords. Are you using them? All LR cars from 1984
