PHEV improved electric range

Here's from Land Rover: https://media.landrover.com/news/2022/01/n...d-70-miles

Quote:
The P510e and P440e Extended-Range Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) offer exceptional efficiency, producing CO2 emissions as low as 18g/km and providing up to 113km (70 miles) of EV range – exceeding initial expectations and offering customers even greater breadth of capability.

At its reveal last year, Land Rover suggested an EV range of 100km (62 miles) and CO2 emissions below 30g/km would be attainable.

That’s the guess-o-meter (GOM) for you. A lot of variables affect its calculation - environment temperature being a big factor. When it’s cold outside, EV range decreases.

My P550e at 100% gives me 55miles range.

Interestingly, on a recent 150mile trip with 0% battery, my journey stats say 17miles were on EV.

Yes, my car only seems to get up to 58 miles max, although I expect that will improve as the weather improves.

I've noticed that the regen is a lot better than in my hybrid L405. On a couple of 250 mile trips with zero battery, both journeys showed 25 miles on electric. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

New P460 from dealer with 70 miles when collected. Drove home & never managed above 55miles charge when at 100% - what am I doing wrong?

achieving the quoted range will be tricky in normal conditions you have to have it in eco everything with no HVAC on and no non essential electrical items. then drive it with a lot of predicting the road anticipating slow downs at junctions avoiding restarts etc and you might get close to it.

Personally I think the PDI High Voltage battery initialisation sets the range to start with, after that you will never see it again Laughing MY23 PHEV HSE

Picked my P460e up from Solihull two weeks ago. The range on collection was 63 miles EV. I set the sat nav for home (128.5 miles) and recorded 62.6 miles EV on the app. During the first week the range at full charge was 62-63 miles. I am now at 875 miles and the EV range at full charge is 58. However, fuel tank still reading 60% Very Happy

During the first week I had a trip to Grantham and back, a total of 163.8 miles. Overall EV mileage for the trip was 78.1; could this be regen?

The factory tour and collection experience was exceptional.
