I don't think your response will have cheered Rosco up very much. 2000 P38 4.0 HSE auto - RHD - just needs a little love.

Thanks for the detailed reply Arch, makes a lot of sense.

I imagine policing is very thankless task these days, not helped with the limited funding and resources. 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2

One thing you haven’t said is where the car is currently - Scotland or England. There are differences in property law between the two which may be relevant to recovering it. John

England 2018 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

Floopy,

you are correct, I'm glad I was able to get out. All public sector pay has gone down in real terms, some can do something about it by way of industrial action, others cant. I could have stayed a few more years but left and got a 25% payrise in spite of now working a 4 day week (a 5 day week would have seen circa a 50% rise) and I have taken my experience, skills and quals with me. Admittedly I had a valuable specialism but had the pay been better and the service funded properly I'd have stayed in.

Sadly, the cops are easy targets, everyone likes the medics and fire crews and will gloss over their failings but the cops are all criminal lazy and feckless.

Rosco, if I can help DM me and I can see if there may be some enquiries/calls you can make to expedite the return First time FFRR owner
