Activists deflate tyres on 'luxury' cars in Glasgow

Anyone read this article on the BBC ?:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-59254298

Apparently 'climate activists' let down the tyres of 60 vehicles in the city centre

The group said: "If 4x4 drivers were a nation, they'd be the seventh biggest polluters on the planet. If the 1% won't take responsibility for the climate destruction they wreak, we'll make them."

Tyred of SUVs member, Fin, told BBC Radio Scotland: "We feel we need to do this because we need to point to the people who are responsible - rich people in the global north.

"This is a minor inconvenience that is not going to disrupt them in a huge way. What is really going to disrupt people's lives and kill them is the climate crisis caused by rich people - basically SUV owners."

So basically 4 wheel drive and rich people seem to be the problem, not old cars that pollute or people that drive mega miles or lorries, vans, etc .... I know we all have a responsibility to help but my 3,000 miles a year in my vehicle is not part of the overall problem. Rant over Laughing 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

So many of those cars with flat tyres now require call out from one of the breakdown services (in large diesel vans) causing more unnecessary travel and pollution Rolling with laughter . Not to mention the fact that many key workers (myself and my wife included) need 4x4s to be able to do their jobs including looking after the sick, elderly and dying Censored

Give it another month or 6 weeks when the snow arrives and we will be everyones saviours again and back in favour Mr. Green

If I find anyone tampering with my tyres they will be made to re inflate them all with a bike pump, before having the said bike pump rammed up their entitled bum hole

Well if they done that too me I'd get them re inflated by calling a private tyre company so they can see the van using diesel and the petrol generator roaring away to put some air in my tyres while I sit there with the engine turning over, heated seats and in a land of bliss.....

Then I'll just drive aimlessly around too hack them off.

Stupid tree hugging fools don't have a clue. Wonder how they all git to cop 26 as I'm pretty sure they didn't use human power all the way

They’re complete muppets who didn’t understand how modern engines work, then visit sites all over the country not on foot or pushbike as you say Stan. They blocked Manchester not too long ago by putting a large boat across Deansgate, the Main Street in Manchester. How did they get it there, and how did they all travel there. Makes me boil.
