Just had it's 334,700 mile service and MoT (again no advisories Thumbs Up).

I think I have just about sorted the main items picked up in the 2019 article; paintworrk, rear door arches, replaced the upper tailgate and wheels. Also added a second battery, Westfelia tow-bar and removed the illegal tinted glass film. 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

im at 200k, same car. 2012. no dents, scrapes, peeling... underneath looks ok. its had 4 shocks in its life, and I got it with new brakes, with full service history stamped to 190k. . just got the light rusting of wheel arches to sort in early spring. and a couple pin blisters on the tailgate. drives so nice!

Moving to the USA for two years. Thumbs Up

Have to sell my FFRR Big Cry

Full JLR service history from new, two owners and no MoT adviseries / first time passes since 2019 when I bought it.

All the things noted in the article that made it a "true 40 footer" have been sorted along with 4 new tyres (in order to avoid an advisory on last year's MoT).

I am taking my 1960 Land Rover SII, but the FF is a "no go" because it does not meet the USA emissions control regulations.

The SII is exempt as it is over 25 years old. 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

Update

Well I am now in North Carolina Thumbs Up and my FF sold. Sad

The new owner is on Instagram and may post updates under "work@samsdetailinguk".

I enjoyed my time with my FF and with knowing it is in a better condition when I sold it than when I got it.

Whilst I sold the FF remotely and never meet the new owner, I understand it is in good hands!

I am the new owner Toby!!!

My list to kick things off is actually quite short at the moment:

Few of the leds upgrades need sorting as they either flickering or dead
Polish the two front windows
Refit tailgate trim
Replace oil cooler

It's running like a champ, I've done 400 miles in it so far.

Hello Sam!

Congratulations on your new purchase, I hope you will love my old FF as much as I did.

Looking at your start list of jobs:-

1 Few of the leds upgrades need sorting as they either flickering or dead - Yes, my "upgrading" of the interior LEDs was not as good as I had hoped!! Check on here for advice on purchasing better quality LEDs.
2 Polish the two front windows - When I got the vehicle it had illegal tinting on these windows. I am afraid I just got out a heat gun and removed the film, polishing should help.
3 Refit tailgate trim - I have tried a few times to refit the trim after the replacement of the rear tailgate. As you have spotted, I did not have great success. NB I think the rear heated screen is not operational so you may want to replace that before doing the trim.
4 Replace oil cooler - Have a look at the various RoverTune invoices for info on the oil leak. Might be worth giving them a call as they looked after the vehicle during my ownership.

Good luck with your ownership, I think you got a good deal on your FF, but still a work in progress I guess.

Thanks for that, extremely helpful!

On a side note, did you ever change the transmission fluid? I can see it was changed about 150k ago and I am in two minds.

I think I'd be tempted to change just the oil on its own every couple of weeks mixing clean oil with dirty oil so the transmission doesn't get a shock to the system and then finish it was the a final filter and oil change if everything is fine.
