Question to all German or Germany-based diesel owners

Any German or Germany-based diesel L322 owners on here?

Are you going to be affected by the impending diesel emissions law changes? Does it affect your vehicle? Is your town or city affected?

I live near Frankfurt and basically have until September 2019 to make my 2012 TDV8 4.4 Euro 6 conformant or I won't be able to drive it to work after that Crying or Very sad . (Thank goodness I got rid of my 3.6 TDV8 last year or I would have to give it up in January...)

I love my car and don't want to give it up if I can avoid it so I was wondering if anyone else on here is affected and what they are planning to do about it?

Are you going to sell the car? Maybe as an export?
Are you going to try and get an after-market emissions kit fitted (AdBlue) to make your emissions Euro 6 conformant? There are not many options available for this as I understand.
Hope that LR offers a discount on upgrading your vehicle to a new or newer vehicle, as the German government has encouraged?

Or are you going to drive your car regardless? Razz

I'd be interested to hear other owners' opinions/plans. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather reply in German. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

Hi,

just got my TD6, but as I live in OberBayern the new rules will not affect me much. Just need to get the train if I need to get into the centre of Munich.

I don't think AdBlue kits are available for the L322 yet. The market hasn't caught up with the law yet. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

Here in London, we are left high and dry by the delightful Mayor Khan and we being forced to pay a daily charge or buy much newer cars - with zero discount, grant, or scrappage.

.......or buy a really old one. I've got an early seventies MG which runs on four star (yes, you can still buy it at around £12 per gallon). It's tax exempt, doesn't need an MOT, ULEZ exempt and belches out fumes. All very strange Shocked
